Frequently Asked Questions
Are all RunPace tools completely free?
Yes. Every tool on RunPace is free with no sign-up required, no premium tier, and no usage limits. Pace calculators, race predictors, training zone calculators, calorie estimators, and all other tools are available at no cost to anyone. We sustain the project through non-intrusive advertising.
Is my running data private?
Yes. All calculations happen locally in your browser. Data you enter — including pace, distance, race times, and training log entries — is stored in your browser's localStorage if you choose to save it, and is never transmitted to our servers. We have no visibility into the numbers you enter or save.
How accurate is the Race Predictor?
Our Race Predictor uses Pete Riegel's formula (T2 = T1 × (D2/D1)^1.06) combined with Jack Daniels' VDOT methodology — both well-validated in sports science literature. Accuracy is highest when you use a recent race result as your baseline and are in comparable fitness. Factors like course elevation, weather conditions, and pacing strategy can cause deviations of 1–5% from the prediction.
What languages does RunPace support?
RunPace is fully available in five languages: English, 한국어 (Korean), 日本語 (Japanese), 中文 (Chinese), and Español (Spanish). All tool interfaces, labels, and instructional content are translated. Use the language selector in the top navigation to switch languages. Your language preference is remembered for your next visit.
Does RunPace work on mobile?
Yes. RunPace is fully responsive and works on all modern smartphones and tablets. The interface is optimized for touch input so you can use all calculators and tools while at the gym, on the track, or reviewing your training on the go. No app download is required — just visit run.toolhubmnss.top in your mobile browser.
What training methods does RunPace use?
RunPace training tools are built on Jack Daniels' VDOT-based training system, which divides workouts into five intensity zones: Easy (aerobic base building), Marathon pace, Threshold (lactate threshold runs), Interval (VO2max development), and Repetition (running economy and speed). This system is used by elite coaches worldwide and is validated by decades of exercise physiology research. All pace zones are calculated from your current VDOT score, which is derived from any recent race time you provide.
